Botanical Garden, Luang Prabang
Meal: Lunch served at the garden
Begin our morning with a TUK TUK pick up from the hotel then embark on small fishing boat crossing the Mekong River to a small village calls Ban Chan well known for its best ad quality Jars making. Villagers here have specialized themselves on manufacturing pottery and bricks as well as terracotta tiles. Later, meet our master pottery makers who will demonstrate us the ancient techniques and how to work on the clay. Next visit, it is the trip down the river to Botanical Garden – Pha Tad Ke – where you get to learn about Flora of Laos, a verdant oasis of gingers, orchids, ferns, bamboos, and palms clustered around the base of the stunning rocky Pha Tad Ke cliff looming over the Mekong River. Lunch will be served here. The garden showcases a series of plants used in medicine, handicrafts, spiritual ceremonies as well as medicinal plants for elephants. Short hike around the park before returning by boat back to mainland in the afternoon.
